Flat Roof Renewal - Thingwall, Wirral

Our team recently completed a flat roof restoration in Thingwall, Wirral, revitalizing a defective structure with expert craftsmanship and modern materials. The project began with the secure installation of a ladder, providing safe access for our operatives to undertake the necessary repairs. The existing flat roof covering, compromised by wear and tear, was carefully removed, along with rotten boards, with all waste responsibly disposed of into a skip to maintain a clear worksite.

To ensure proper drainage—a critical factor in flat roof longevity—we fitted new furrings and boards, expertly adjusted to achieve the correct fall. The roof was then overlaid with a Debotech 3-layer system, finished with a charcoal mineral surface, delivering a robust, weatherproof solution with a sleek, contemporary appearance. Around the small parapet wall, coping stones were bedded as they should have been from the outset, rectifying past oversights and enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. New lead flashings were installed over the felt upstands against the abutment wall, sealed with flexible lead sealant to ensure a watertight barrier.

As an added service, we cleaned out the main roof gutters free of charge, ensuring optimal water flow and demonstrating our commitment to comprehensive care.
