Porch Roof Build - Upton, Wirral

Our team recently completed an expertly crafted porch roof build in Upton, Wirral, enhancing an existing property with a functional and aesthetically pleasing addition. The project began with the secure fixing of a wall plate to the existing concrete structure, providing a stable foundation for the new roof. A back plate was then anchored using masonry fixings, ensuring robust support for the roof framework. Treated timbers were precisely cut and installed, including a birds mouth cut at the eave, tailored to achieve a seamless fit and optimal load distribution.

To ensure durability and weather resistance, we installed Vent 3 PRO Cromar breathable felt, paired with graded battens, creating a reliable underlayment for the porch roof. For the covering, we selected Redland Renown profile concrete tiles, complemented by a plastic verge dry fix system, delivering a low-maintenance finish with a crisp, modern edge. Code 5 lead flashings were fitted along the back wall, sealed with flexible lead sealant to provide a watertight barrier against the adjoining structure, safeguarding the build against moisture ingress.

Throughout the project, the job site was maintained in a clean and tidy condition—a reflection of our professionalism and commitment to a flawless execution, even on a smaller-scale build. This porch roof not only enhances the property’s entrance with its sleek design but also ensures long-lasting protection and structural integrity.
