We recently completed a comprehensive roofing installation that exemplifies our commitment to quality craftsmanship. The project commenced with the erection of scaffolding, ensuring safe and efficient access to the worksite. The existing plain tile roof covering was then stripped and disposed of into a skip, adhering to proper waste management protocols. To prepare for the subsequent upgrades, the loft space was thoroughly cleared and cleaned.
Enhancing the property’s thermal efficiency was a priority, achieved through the installation of high-performance insulation. To optimize ventilation and structural integrity, we incorporated eave vents and felt support trays. The roof was then overlaid with Vent 3 PRO breathable membrane, paired with treated battens, delivering a resilient and weatherproof foundation. A GRP terrace join was expertly installed to ensure a seamless and watertight connection, while Code 6 lead valleys, segmented into 1.5-meter lengths to mitigate the risk of splitting, were fitted for long term durability.
For the roof’s aesthetic and functional finish, we selected Redland Grovebury tiles, complemented by a custom-designed cloaked verge at the gable end, enhancing both appearance and weather resistance. The chimney stacks were dressed with Code 5 lead flashings, sealed with flexible lead sealant within the brick joints to provide a flexible barrier against moisture ingress, that can move with the expansion and contraction of the lead. The project was completed with the installation of dry ridge systems, mechanically fixed at each ridge for superior stability and a refined, contemporary look.
Upon completion, the scaffolding was dismantled, and the site was maintained in a clean and orderly condition throughout the process—a testament to our dedication to professionalism from start to finish.
